Birkdale Christmas Fayre Is Back
After a 2 year break due to Covid restrictions Birkdale Christmas Fayre is back.
Save the date: Sunday 27th November 10am - 6pm
The Fayre is back bigger and better than ever before.
In previous years the Christmas Fayre has been held on a Thursday evening. This year it has been decided to be an all day event for the first time. Meaning the whole family can enjoy all the festivities for longer. Starting at 10am there will be lots to do and see throughout the day.
The Fayre will host the Christmas light switch on. Last year, some may remember, there was a lot of local disappointment with the villages Christmas tree. Some beady eye residents have noticed that the tree in question has been removed. This is because the village is getting a bigger tree, one the village deserves.
Birkdale Civic Society have been working hard to make the day jam packed full of festive fun for all the family.
Lots of the shops in the village are opening up their doors on the day to offer up festive experiences. We have it confirmed the big man himself, the one and only, Father Christmas will be make a special appearance. There will be local choirs and performers. Food and drink stalls. Stalls from local traders. Fair ground rides plus lots more.
Make room for lots of mulled wine and mince pies to really kick off party season.
There will be road closures on the day to make sure the village can accommodate stall holders. The road closures will be advertised well in advance.
The plans are still taking shape and we will be sure to update everyone across our social media channels, including the Birkdale Village Instagram account and Birkdale Village Facebook Group.
We are thrilled to have the Christmas Fayre back after, what feels like, such a long absence.
