Skydive For Catherine

Skydive for Catherine was successfully completed last weekend. The sponsored skydive in memory of Birkdale lady, Catherine Gokcen, has raised an impressive £70,000 for The Larks Cancer Charity, which is part of the Marina Dalglish Appeal.

The completed skydive took place last weekend and we want to say a big well done to Neil, Eve, Tom, Lisa, Sarah, Will, Matt, Steve and Ryyan who all smashed their target raising a staggering £70,000. The weather held out for them too which made for some beautiful views as they jumped out of the plane at 15,000ft!

Catherine Gokcen was much-loved. She was kind, generous, and always had a smile on her face. Sadly, Catherine lost her battle with cancer last year. However, her memory lives on through the work of The Larks Cancer Charity, which was one of her favorite causes.

The JustGiving page set up in Catherine’s memory states ‘if there’s one thing Catherine loved more than spending time with her family and friends, it was helping others. She was an amazing wife, daughter, sister and friend who would do absolutely anything for anyone’.
